We love playing games for dyslexia! I’ve just updated the game, Check It Out, and added so much more to the file! This phonics game helps kids practice phonics short vowels with -ck, -dge, and -tch endings. My students love to play checkers, and this checkers game provides so much decoding practice!
The file includes a teacher instruction page for lots of ideas for multisensory spelling, the folder game in full color with a cover and checker pieces, 4 spelling worksheets you can use for independent work or homework, and 4 pages of matching task cards (with answer keys) that give even more word reading practice that builds vocabulary also!
Check It Out was originally created for one of my students with dyslexia who needed extra decoding phonics short vowels practice with -ck, -tch, and -dge endings – he loved to play checkers! I guess other kids do too since this is one of our best sellers.
