This infographic poster for teaching accompanies my blog post on “How to Use Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs in a Special Needs Homeschool.”

I created this infographic poster for teaching Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to my consulting clients to analyze the behaviors of children with special needs for the purpose of creating goals in a homeschool setting. This poster accompanies my blog post on “How to Use Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs in a Special Needs Homeschool.” However, Maslow’s hierarchy is useful for parents, teachers, psychologists, professors, and university students. This infographic poster for teaching lists the five hierarchical levels as posited by Maslow and provides subcategories of needs. The hierarchy reminds us that all humans have needs, including children. When children have special needs, they often can’t communicate in words, so their behaviors give us clues to what they need.
