Good Cook Rookie is a file folder game where students have fun pretending to fill menus by selecting food items (word cards). No math is required, but students get plenty of practice decoding words using the short oo sound (ie. good). This game includes one and two syllable words in a large, clear font that is dyslexic friendly. Our phonics games are compatible with any systematic, multisensory phonics program.

When you purchase this game, you will be able to download and print it in full color. Mount the cover with directions and the inside gameboard to a letter-size file folder. Print or mount the food item (word cards) and the picture menu cards to cardstock. Laminate if desired. You are ready to play!
