Are you working with your students on the -cle syllable? Escape Room is a vocabulary folder game where students move around an abandoned Victorian house to secretly match or collect room pictures to race to the key to escape. This game gives plenty of practice with dividing syllables and decoding two syllable words with the -cle syllable ending. 37 pages total, including vocabulary worksheets!

 

This file includes a Teacher Instruction Page. The full-color gameboard and cover with directions mounts to a letter-sized file folder. Movers, Room Cards, and small Word/Room Cards are including. All you need is a regular 6-sided die to play this vocabulary folder game.

 

If you laminate the word cards, they can also be used as flashcards or taskbox activities. The file also contains 10 pages of Bubble Word vocabulary Worksheets, where students can color the words in creative ways or build 3-D words with play dough. Two Cut and Paste worksheets are provided to help students analyze other syllables within -cle syllable words. Finally, six pages of Spelling Worksheets are provided for students to copy, use short-term memory, or practice -cle words with many multisensory activities.
