This is a huge set of graphic organizers to give students with special needs lots of practice with two-digit numbers. Numbers are represented from 10 to 99 individually. Students can use Base-10 Blocks or other manipulatives to build each number. Students can also color the numbers. Teacher instructions with ideas for using the graphic organizers are included.
In addition, a filled in hundreds chart, a blank hundreds chart, and number squares for taskbox or math center activities are also provided for follow-up activities.
Many neurotypical students do not require such extensive practice with 2-digit place value. However, these graphic organizers were created for my own students with dyscalculia, autism, and other math disabilities. We were able to use the graphic organizers extensively to develop the concepts of groupings of tens and the language skill of naming numbers. Some students may just need additional practice without covering all 2-digit numbers. Certainly, a teacher may print and use random pages for review and independent activities.
