Print the pages single-sided. Cut along the dashed line. Fold the paper on the long solid line (hot dog style). Then fold the paper in half to create the folded reader.

Each reader has a title and fun picture on the cover page. The back page has the word family, so you can do phonemic awareness, rhyming activities prior to reading the sentences. The folded booklet has two to four sentence decodable passages in a large, dyslexia friendly font. Sight words are limited to the first few most used high frequency words.  Have your child sound out the sentences aloud. Assist your student in segmenting and blending words if needed. Underline or highlight sight words if needed. Have your child practice each booklet several times until it can be read fluently.

If you teach reading using a linguistic approach or Science of Reading phonics program, you will love these readers!

Just print, fold and read!
