You are going to LOVE this set of 250 informational writing prompts for formatted paragraph writing! Two blank paragraph planning templates are provided for differentiated instruction.

Writing is the most difficult academic skill, and for kids with special needs, paragraph writing can be nearly impossible. Students with language-based learning issues, like autism or dyslexia, often have no clue how to write a paragraph. Typical writing programs are too fast paced for our kids with learning disabilities. The format changes with every assignment, and kids don’t know what to say, how to start, or how to organize their writing. Our kids need a formatted process and lots of writing prompts!

You are going to LOVE this set of 250 informational writing prompts for formatted paragraph writing! Two blank paragraph planning templates are provided for differentiated instruction. Laminate the writing template you want to use for a dry erase planner. The writing topics are designed specifically for older students who struggle in writing. The planning grid at the top of each page helps students prepare a topic sentence, up to 5 details, and a closing sentence. You can use the graphic organizer and paragraph writing prompts with any writing curriculum you are currently using. I’ve even provided a few pages of tips for how to guide students in paragraph writing and for using the prompts as formative assessments.
